Thanks for the info Skeeter, and Ken too. May ride her stock the rest of this season and fit a SuperTrapp as a "winter project." I bought my Savage (a '95) used with 4,500 miles on it. It was originally from California, so I would expect it to be a bit weaker than 49-state versions. I'm beginning to suspect someone has played with the stock carb settings at the very least. Not complaining! Don't find freeway riding pleasant on Lil' Suzi, but mine will cruise along at an indicated 80mph just fine, and even has a little throttle left. Should get interesting with the new exhaust. Thinking also of installing a more free-flowing air filter also, along with the pipe and carb tweaking. Does K&N make one for the Savage?
